Miscellaneous Musings

This morning Timothy's Primary Choir sang again in church. He was much less nervous than his singing debut on Easter Sunday! (For those who are unsure, Tim is the right-most boy - - next to the boy in yellow)

This next photo is not one I would normally post for the world to see, but more than a handful of you have been asking to see a picture of me. I finally found a photo that I don't hate! I had the boys take a few photos last night, and they had strict instructions to only get a photo of the belly - nothing else! Here you go! 6 1/2 months down, 2 1/2 months to go!

THE TOOTH HAS FINALLY COME OUT!

After almost 4 weeks of having this loose tooth just hanging on, we are pleased to report that Tim's tooth has FINALLY come out! This past week, we kept trying to get him to let us yank it, but no such luck. Yesterday I even sent a zip lock baggie to preschool with him, in case it came out at school! Well, tonight, the boys were at church for "Parents Night Out" (i.e. Date Night for parents!) and he lost it - - literally! Apparently he was on the playground when he realized it wasn't in his mouth any longer!! So, sad to say, we don't have the actual tooth to keep.... but atleast the tooth has finally come out!

A beautiful Penn State Saturday!

We have been so blessed to have Grandpa visiting from California for the past week. On Saturday, the 5 of us spent the day at Penn State, enjoying the weather, the crowd of PSU fans, the fun carnival, the Blue Band, and OF COURSE the annual Blue-White scrimmage. We were among the record blue-white crowd of 73,000+ people! Here are a few pictures showing our Penn State Spirit!

The weather was warm, but thankfully we sat on the "shady" side of the stadium, and the breeze felt great! The boys were troopers, and lasted the entire day. Timothy proved that he is, indeed, ready to attend a "real" game with Jason this fall. This was a relief to me, as I'm sure I'll be missing a few games due to baby girl Wagner! After the scrimmage, we were able to get down onto the field and meet a few of the players, and the boys' favorite - the Nittany Lion!
After we left the stadium, we went downtown to make a few purchases for Timothy's new "Penn State" bedroom. Jason finished the painting last week, and now we just have to put up the border and all the rest of the decorations. Photos to be posted upon completion! Anyway, now we'll leave you with 2 photos showing the boys' favorite purchases of the day!

The only sad part of the day was that the line at the Creamery was WAY TOO LONG to justify waiting for ice cream :( Maybe we'll be able to enjoy our favorite PSU ice cream next time (Mine is Keeny Beeny Chocolate - what's yours?)

Boys' Nursery School program

Last week, the boys' preschool put on their annual end-of-year program for the parents. Both boys love their classes and teachers. Matthew is excited to have Tim's teacher next year when HE is in the Pre-K class and Tim goes on to Kindergarten. Matt's 4 year old class sang a song about all of God's wonders in the world. Matthew and another boy were raindrops (hence the raincoats!). In this photo, he is the one in the red and blue rain coat holding the rain drop up over his head.

Tim's class performed a "drama" which was quite entertaining to watch. Tim, along with another little girl in his class, was a giraffe. He really got a kick out of being in the play. Afterwards all the classes took the stage to sing one last song. Here is a photo of Giraffe Tim (notice that he is excitedly waving to us!).

The Boys head to Philly

On Saturday, Jason and the boys, along with friends Joseph and Mr. Wolcott, trekked down to Philadelphia to the Franklin Institute to view the Star Wars exhibit! They left at 9am and returned home, weary yet excited, at 7:30pm. Here are a few photos from their trip:

Timothy, R2D2, C3PO, Matthew and Joseph

Contrary to the look on Matt's face, they really DID have a good time! (though Jason said the room with the Star Wars exhibit was about 100 degrees, and had about 300 people too many!)

After they left the Star Wars exhibit, they had fun touring the remainder of the Institute. The boys really enjoyed the more "hands on" features of the place. Tim's favorite place was "THE HEART", and he went through it 5 or 6 times! Here is a picture of him entering the heart:

Here are Joseph, Matt and Tim on the Rock Climbing wall.

Three pals at the end of a very fun day!

And even Jason survived :)

Visitors from the duck pond

Another thing we love about our new house is that we are so close to the neighborhood duck pond (which is right next to the playground!). Anyway, we came home on Saturday evening and found these visitors in our driveway!

In other news, the boys had dentist appts last Friday. Tim's loose tooth is still in his mouth - the dentist advised him to keep wiggling it so it can come out soon - his permanent tooth is already growing behind the loose one! Also, 2 of his 6-year molars are coming in already! He sure is growing up.

Happy Birthday to Jason!

I'm a few days late with this birthday post. Last week Jason celebrated his 33rd birthday! The boys and I made him a chocolate cake with chocolate peanutbutter frosting - yum! We also made a scavenger hunt for him to do when he got home from work... we had lots of fun getting that ready for him, though he almost missed the first clue coming in the garage door! Sadly, I neglected to get a photo of us singing Happy Birthday, or of Jason blowing out his candles. Thankfully, when we went to visit Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Kelli on Saturday, they gave him another cake! So I will post photos of THAT celebration!

We had such a nice time visiting with Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Kelli.... in addition to the birthday cake, we also made ice cream sundaes, played outside with bubbles from Easter Baskets from Jim and Kelli, and played lots of games. Also, Cindy and Kenny (Aunt Kelli's parents) were there so that was fun as well. Cindy is very special to us and used to visit us a lot when the boys were younger. Here are some photos of our visit:

The boys enjoyed their piggy back rides, especially since I cannot carry them right now due to the pregnancy!
