Our first loose tooth!

Today it came to our attention that Timothy has his first loose tooth. Apparently he had no idea either. Once he found out, he couldn't stop talking about it all day, and wanted to call everyone he knew, to tell them! I think he thought the tooth would come out right away.... well it's been 12 hours since we realized it was loose, and it's still in there! He wanted me to take a picture of his loose tooth "for the blog" he said. I humored him, so here he is:

I'm sure as soon as the tooth comes out, he'll have me post it for you to see!

Air Force One

One of the things we enjoy at our new home is being so close to the airport (less than 1 mile, as the crow flies). We have seen so many planes taking off right in our back yard. A week or so ago, the boys and I saw an "official" looking plane with an American Flag on it. We were so excited so we pulled our van over to watch it. Unfortunately we found out later that it was Hillary Clinton's plane when she came to Harrisburg. Well, today when we saw another plane like it, we didn't get our hopes up. However, after 1 hour of watching it circle, I finally realized what it was! Though Harrisburg International Airport is a somewhat small airport, we have the distinction of having one of the longest runways in the U.S.A. Therefore, alot of military planes (and others) practice their take-offs and landings. Well, today Air Force One was practicing for the better part of 2 hours! Here are a few shots we got:

The boys had fun running up and down the yard and driveway waving to it! Ahh - the simple pleasures of life.

Happy Easter!

Easter week was a busy, yet fun and meaningful time in our home this week. Both boys had Easter parties at preschool, and we are so thankful they attend a Christian preschool where the true meaning of this important holiday is reinforced. They really had fun this year with our resurrection eggs. They also went on a few egg hunts. We dyed easter eggs with Pap, Grammy and Aunt Lindsay who visited us for Easter.

As they helped me get our Easter decorations out, Timothy remembered his favorite wooden eggs that we got a few years ago. He spent a lot of time studying each egg, and then drawing them. He asked me to take a photo of the eggs, along with his drawing, so we wanted to post that, as well. I'm telling you - these boys could draw for hours! It's amazing! Notice the detail in each egg!

Timothy was old enough to join the Children's choir at church this year. Unfortunately he was sick for their Christmas morning singing, so this Easter performance was his first time singing in front of the congregation. He claimed he wasn't nervous, but wait till you see the video! I took the video during their warm up before the Church service.... he looked a little more relaxed during the actual service, but not too much! He is one of only 2 boys in the group! Hope you can see the video. ****OK - I am having uploading problems. I have to figure out how to change the format of my video! (if you want to help me - e-mail me and tell me how!)****

It's a ..............

Our ultrasound last week revealed a healthy baby growing normally. It also revealed that our household of BOYS will be turned upside down in July! It appears we are having a little girl! Here is a photo of our first baby girl present:

This weekend Jason and the boys were bachelors while I attended our church's Women's Retreat. Jason, being the wonderful husband he is, and knowing how tired I am while pregnant, advised me to splurge and pay the extra $20 to have a room by myself! I was able to sleep well both nights, and I even napped during Saturday's free time!

Also knowing I would worry about the boys while I was away, Jason was able to put my fears to rest by taking the following photo. Look how cute the boys look sitting together - they definitely are the best of friends!

Thank goodness for "Morning Chores"

We've been attempting to teach the boys some responsibility. And one way we've done this is by instituting "morning chores". I was dreading starting this process, as I assumed they'd dislike housework as much as I do (Jason can attest to that, as can anyone who comes to visit us! Sorry Jason!). Anyway, each morning the boys have to do their "morning chores" before we can do anything else (except breakfast! We're big on breakfast here at the Wagners!).

One of the things the boys have to do is make their beds. Timothy takes great pride in making his bed, while on the other hand Matthew is still in the learning stage (you'll see by the photos below!). What intrigues me the most is that Timothy actually ENJOYS this. When Grammy, Pap and Aunt Lindsay were visiting a few weekends ago, he made not only his bed, but ours, Grammy and Paps, and Aunt Lindsay's air mattress as well! This morning I stopped him in the middle of his morning chores for one reason or another, and his first response was "But Mommy! Can I still make your bed?!" So, I thought I'd share photos!!

Timothy's bed, with his CARS blanket smoothed out perfectly!

Matthew's bed, which granted, IS harder to make as it's against a wall.

Jason's and my bed. Now maybe I'll have to add "Clean Mommy's Room" to their Morning Chore list!! Just kidding!

A little bowling anyone?

A few weeks ago, some friends invited us to go bowling. This was the boys' first time and they sure loved it! I wish I had taken a video of the day, instead of just photos. The photos cannot do justice to show how s-l-o-w-l-y their bowling balls moved! At points we were actually WILLING the balls to get to the pins! I was so thankful the bowling alley put that greasy oily stuff on the lanes to make the balls slide. The funniest part was that the screens announced how slowly the balls were moving - - 2 mph for some of them!! And also thank goodness for the BUMPERS they put in the kids' lanes. Check out the yellow/orange shoes!
